Matthew Shearer is a musician and lifelong resident of Massachusetts. Matt grew up in Acton, MA, attended Emerson College and received a degree in audio & radio. Matt struggled to make ends meet as a student while working part-time and attending school full-time. Matt was forced to move back to his hometown of Acton with his parents. Shortly after moving back to Acton, Matt began working on the Jim & Margery Show as an assistant producer, eventually rising in the ranks to The Executive Producer of 96.9 Boston Talks’ Morning Show.

Matthew attributes his life experiences to develop a strong interest in local, national, and world news.  Many of his peers would agree that the current social and economic landscape, carved out by his parents’ generation may not be entirely sustainable for growth given the changes in technology, the progress of scientific discovery, and an exponentially-growing population. Matt believes that he shares a common goal with fellow young professional adults: “Do your part to make the world a better place for EVERY human being, for decades to come”.
