Jim and Margery
Monday-Friday
7:00a.m.-10:00a.m.
Wake up with Boston’s only “live and local” male-female talk duo, Jim and Margery. Start your day with Jim Braude and Margery Eagan and experience what Boston is talking about. Their irreverent spin on local, political, cultural and absurd topics make your commute a whole lot of fun. Get Jim and Margery’s take on the hottest topics every weekday morning from 7:00-10:00 a.m., only on 96.9 Boston Talks.
Margery, a veteran Boston Herald columnist, and Jim go round for round during your morning commute; debating the political, cultural and most often the absurd. Even when the bell dings and the mics turn off for the day, these two keep on hitting.
Be sure to tune in the first Thursday each month when Jim and Margery are joined by special guests, Governor Deval Patrick. Attorney General Martha Coakley also checks in on a regular basis. During these shows, callers have the exclusive opportunity to phone in and have their pressing questions about the Commonwealth answered by the political leaders themselves.
Jim Braude is the dynamic host of NECN's Broadside. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and New York University’s Law School. He began his career as a legal services lawyer in the South Bronx, and was the first president of the National Union of Legal Services. Jim also served as the executive director of TEAM (Tax Equity Alliance for Massachusetts), a tax reform group, from 1987 to 1996, and then as a Cambridge City Councilor from 1999 to 2000. In the 1990s, Braude was the host of NECN’s Emmy Award-winning program, Talk of New England.
Jim likes to remind Margery that his work on NECN has won him both an Emmy and an Associated Press Award. However, Margery likes to remind Jim that she was his guest on each of those award-winning shows.
Margery Eagan, a veteran Boston Herald columnist, is a native of Fall River and graduate of Stanford University. Her columns and radio commentary both continue to be nationally renowned. In addition, Margery has been featured on several prestigious programs, making a number of appearances on CNN, ABC, Fox News, The O’Reilly Factor, and Broadside with Braude.
