Boston Talks with Jay every weekday from 2:00-6:00 pm. Jay is a native New-Yorker and a graduate of Vassar College. However, He also studied journalism locally at Boston University's Graduate School of Communication. A veteran national political operative, Jay has served as media and political adviser to Republican incumbents and candidates in circa 30 major campaigns for gubernatorial, U.S. House, U.S. Senate and presidential seats.
Jay Severin is a former award-winning columnist for MSNBC.com. His political and media commentary has appeared in international newspapers and magazines, as well as on network and cable television. A talk-show host since 1999, Jay Severin was nominated in 2005 for radio's highest honor, the Marconi Award as Radio Personality of the Year.
Jay’s main passions are his family and mountain climbing. Combining the two, they have enjoyed trips together to the American Rockies and Iceland. Currently, he resides on the North Shore with his wife and their three beloved Newfoundland dogs.
