Humorist Jason Gay has a great piece in the WSJ today entitled “the 21 Rules Of Surviving A Super Bowl Party.”  I urge you to read them all. Here are a few:

1. The two teams in this year's Super Bowl are the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Marlins. Impress everyone by walking into the party and loudly predicting the Marlins will win by six baskets.

10. Bringing a box of doughnuts to a Super Bowl party is like telling your friends you hate them.

15. During Madonna's performance, there's going to be someone who will stand up and attempt to "vogue" in the living room. Just pray it isn't your Uncle Billy, shirtless after four bourbons.
